The cuts we do most
- Sporting / kennel cut — the most popular pet cut. Short and even all over, easy to maintain, looks tidy for 4–6 weeks.
- Continental — the classic show clip: shaved hindquarters with pom-poms, full mane in front. We’ll do the trim for you even if you’re not showing.
- Lamb cut — slightly longer legs than the body, with a clean face. The “soft” pet poodle look.
- Modern / teddy bear — a longer face left round, body trimmed to a comfortable length. Reads more “doodle-style” than traditional poodle.
If you’re not sure what to ask for, bring a photo. We’ll tell you honestly whether your dog’s coat will hold the cut you want and how often you’ll need to come back for it.
Pricing & frequency
Standard poodles need a groom every 4–6 weeks to keep a defined cut. Minis and toys can usually stretch to 6–8 weeks. Pricing is weight-based; full ranges are on our pricing page. Continental and show clips take longer to scissor and are quoted at the appointment.
