1. Services

KurlyTails provides professional pet grooming and spa services including full grooms, bath & brush, mini grooms, and add-on services. Specific services and pricing are listed on our Pricing page. We reserve the right to modify services and pricing at any time.

2. Appointments & Booking

• Appointments are booked through our online booking system and are subject to groomer availability.
• A booking confirmation is sent to your email once a groomer claims your appointment.
• We accept same-day bookings subject to availability.
• Please arrive within 5 minutes of your scheduled appointment time. Pets arriving more than 15 minutes late may need to be rescheduled.

3. Cancellations & No-Shows

• Cancellations require at least 24 hours notice.
• Late cancellations (less than 24 hours) or no-shows may incur a fee of up to $20.
• Repeated no-shows may result in a prepayment requirement for future bookings.

4. Payment

Payment is due at the time of service. We accept cash, card, Venmo, and Zelle. Final pricing may vary from estimates based on your pet's coat condition, behavior, or additional services required. You will be notified of any price adjustments before we proceed.

5. Vaccination Requirements

All pets must have current vaccinations including Rabies, Bordetella, and Distemper. Proof of vaccination may be uploaded during booking, emailed to [email protected], or presented at drop-off. We reserve the right to refuse service to any pet without current vaccination records.

6. Health & Safety

• We reserve the right to refuse service to any pet showing signs of illness, severe anxiety, or aggression.
• Please disclose any known health conditions, medications, or behavioral concerns at the time of booking.
• In a medical emergency, we will attempt to contact you immediately and may seek veterinary care at your expense.
• Strict sanitation standards are maintained between all appointments.

7. Grooming Risks & Liability

Grooming involves inherent risks including, but not limited to, minor nicks, skin irritation, or stress reactions — particularly for elderly, anxious, or first-time grooming pets. By booking with us, you acknowledge these risks and release KurlyTails from liability except in cases of gross negligence. Our liability is limited to the fair market value of the animal, per North Carolina law.

If your pet's coat is severely matted, we may need to perform a full shave-down in the interest of the animal's health. De-matting surcharges may apply. Shaving double-coated breeds may permanently alter coat texture; KurlyTails is not responsible for such changes.

8. Pet Aggression

You accept full liability for any injury caused by your pet to our staff or other animals, per NC General Statutes Chapter 67. Grooming may be discontinued if your pet displays dangerous behavior. Any medical costs incurred by staff as a result of a bite or injury are your responsibility.

9. Pick-Up Policy

Pets must be collected within 1 hour of receiving their completion notification. Extended stays may incur a boarding fee of $10 per hour. KurlyTails is not responsible for pets left beyond business hours.

10. Photo & Marketing Consent

By booking a service, you grant KurlyTails permission to photograph your pet for use on our website, social media, and marketing materials — unless you have explicitly stated otherwise in writing at the time of booking.

11. Website Use

You agree not to use our website for any unlawful purpose or in a way that could damage or impair its functionality. All content on this website, including text, images, and the booking system, is the property of KurlyTails and may not be reproduced without written permission.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes are effective upon posting to this page with an updated date. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Wake County, NC.
